While there are numerous Allman Brothers’ tribute bands performing out there, like the saying goes, “many are called, but few are chosen” – well, Statesboro is one of the chosen few. Their unique blend of original ABB tradition mixed with personal nuances allows them to stand out above the others. Statesboro is led by the blazing slide work of Charlie Macarone, who is aided and abetted by his dual drumming brothers Pete and Freddie, guitarist Rob Chiarappa, and bassist Luke Kessel. The newest member of Statesboro is lead vocalist/keyboardist Arne Wendt, whose work with Jon Bon Jovi and Bernard Purdie brings invaluable experience to the group. 

When Statesboro cranks it up, all you have to do is close your eyes and let the music carry you back to the days of At Fillmore East and Eat a Peach. This isn’t just a tribute band; Statesboro plays with an improvised passion that would make Duane, Gregg, Dickey, Berry, Jaimoe and Butch proud. Be sure to catch Statesboro whenever and wherever you can; you’ll want them to play all night!
